Lina McAuliffe

Lina McAuliffe is the embodiment of the American dream. She moved to D.C. from Bolivia at age 5 and immediately fell in love with the District’s diverse community and lively atmosphere. Lina’s entrepreneurial spirit led her to start her first business at age 13, selling Avon products to her Dupont Circle neighbors. This was just the beginning of a successful career focused on sales and marketing. 

Working with the Ibero-American Chamber of Commerce while studying at MCIP Bilingual High School inspired her to study international business and finance at the University of Maryland. After college, her passion for fashion and knowledge of finance led her to manage a top-volume department at Nordstrom. In a short period, she worked her way up to the company’s buying office, taking responsibility for over $100 million in merchandise sales. In recent years, she managed her family’s hardwood floor business, using her experience in marketing, sales, client relations, and event planning to grow sales tenfold. 

Like many first-generation Americans, Lina places a high value on home ownership. The hard work and ingenuity she showed as a teen entrepreneur allowed her to help her parents buy their first home in Silver Spring. Achieving this milestone deepened her family’s connection to their adopted country. In the years that followed, Lina bought her own home and invested in rental and commercial property. This passion for Real Estate led her to join the industry in 2011. 

Lina has built an outstanding roster of professionals to help her clients. They include contractors, architects, hardwood flooring specialists, and interior and staging designers. She also has an extensive network of agents throughout the DMV region.

Lina now lives in Crestview, a charming neighborhood of Bethesda with her husband and two children.  She has served on the board of the Little Falls Swimming Club as social event chair. When her children attend Westbrook Elementary School, she volunteered with Westbrook PTA as well as the Friends of Westbrook.
